Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Sierra Nerys
"

another poem of mine written in 8th grade.

"
Why can't I just speak the words
that would make this drama end?
Our troubles would all go away
and my broken heart could mend.
The tears flow free; a silent rain
each time you walk away,
and I know its best to let you go
but I want so much for you to stay.
The words just sit there, on my tongue
waiting for the right time to arise.
I tell myself that this is it
I'm sick of the pain, I'm done with the lies.
Yet my love for you still runs too deep
untarnished by the time
that you have spent away from me
it's free of reason, without rhyme.
They say the more you love someone
the more irrational you get
and now I know one thing for sure:
whoever first said that has been through this
and somehow made it out again.

About
Talking about me isn't something I'm great at, so I'll just tell you why I'm here. I love to write, and most of the outlets I've used don't get me very far in sharing my work with other people. Critic.. more..
