Love

This is one of the two poems that I've managed to get published. I'm pretty proud of it, though I know it's not my best.

Why are things so difficult
each time I look at you?
Why does my heart skip a beat
with everything you do?

Why is it so hard for me
to stay near you for long?
Why do tears fall from my eyes
whenever you are gone?

Why do I feel my heart break
each time you walk away?
Why would i do anything
just to make you stay?

[[So many whys, so many ifs,
so many questions asked.
So many dos, so many don'ts,
all now in the past.]]

One simple little word,
as ordinary as can be.
This one single word:
The thing that troubles me

Author's Note

criticism when it comes to punctuation is welcomed, I struggle with that a lot.

Also, the verse in brackets was originally a part of the poem but doesn't show up in the book. Any thoughts on whether or not it fits properly would be helpful.

We do punctation in our minds,
if it is punctuated perfectly our
minds tend to drift away from the
meat. Keep up the inspirational

Writing is something you do for you.
If we the reader are impressed we
will think nothing of grammar or
spelling, we only want to see what
you say. So always say it, write your
feelings. Write as you have done here
and you will be accepted.
