VOICEA Poem by Siddhidatri PandeIn the voice of a woman this piece cites the grievances of a woman.
Just an infant,
Scorned in some families because they think I am not worth it. Just a toddler, People rather like me fall and be my mockers. Just a girl, When people let me have my swirls. Just a bit older, When people tell me you have your wills no longer. Just a lady, Now I know my life has become all shady. Just a woman, I finally gaze at my ruined imagination. Just a voice, Hushed by all whispers and not make my point. Just a tear that moistens my eyes, Tells me to let my voice be heard and rise.
