I Am Yours

I Am Yours

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

When I first truly

saw your soul

we lay in your father's bed

gazing from emerald

to you - azure blue

I could swear I saw into you.

Listening to Beethoven

suckling toes in the bath

laughing

at your rose wallpaper

those were the days.

Then.

And now...

twenty years later...

I find you again

a reason to start

afresh

with each sweet sleeping

breath you take-

I am yours.

As I read this poem..I felt some weight lift off of my shoulders.
It was calming and smooths over like a coat of warm butter.
Love...somethings never change. It is a timeless piece.

I just get so lost in your words... captivated by the serene imagery... when the flame of love burns it can make us feel like a kid untainted by the world... I feel that giddiness just reading this poem.
