Seated

Seated

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

When I first laid my

eyes upon you

As you took your seat

nearby

I thought to myself

quietly

Why oh why

has this stunning

creature come by-

With eyes of the

deepest, soulful brown

the voice of an angel

I was smitten from

the beginning

by your willful charm.

Now we often walk

arm in arm

which truly makes

me smile

as my heart

skips a beat

whenever you

take your seat

by my side

once again.
