Mysterious Eyes

Mysterious Eyes

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Your eyes
are a mystery to me
what depth is hidden
behind them
I have only grasped
in a few moments
of clarity
where I have seen
a lovely, thoughtful
soul
although mired
with distress it appeared
to me.

You long to be free
and express yourself
without regret
though you and I both
have held back
simply because
our days are filled
with needs that eat
up most moments
that might be reserved
for more meaningful
expressions of Self.

I know you in a way
however that I have known
no other, I have wandered
about your very being
learning every inch
of what you are,
I have glimpsed what
you may become
through your talented expressions.

Yet, we still live
apart in ways
that make me long
to be closer still
to you within-
that which truly matters
the essence of you
your Universal Love
is what I seek.

Perhaps, the longing
I express is too much
yet I feel you may also
long to feel what I feel,
know what I know,
think as I do
if only for a moment
so that my mysterious
eyes, like yours
will become clear,
insightful, knowing
and as One.

wow, seeing mystery in lovers eyes, this is sensuously crafted, written
to height Siddartha. it reflects painting the way each word is a brush stroke
adding to the overall image. A beautifully desirous canvas of romantic
intuition and understanding the deepest meaning of a love. brilliantly done

There lies the meaning of life. You must give your life meaning by giving of yourself to others. Time is life for we are each allotted only a certain number of hours and days. We should spend that time wisely on our journey through the years, holding close the ones we love, cherishing every heartbeat as if it were our last. There are mysteries between two souls and lonely corners we cannot reach. But perhaps there are some boundaries and walls that should not be breached. They say, "familiarity breeds contempt" so maybe there are relationships built upon that precept as well. If you care enough to pay close attention to the smallest of details a window opens into the soul where we catch glimpses of true character. Wonderful work as always my friend. Blessings.

You can tell a lot looking into someone's eyes... what can i say again your poetry is full of charm and grace that stand out...

I know you in a way
however that I have known
no other, I have wandered
about your very being
learning every inch
of what you are,
I have glimpsed what
you may become
through your talented expressions.

this verse is particularly big for me... cause you really can get to know someone through their work, that is why it is easy to fall for an artist.
A very beautiful write again.
