Sometimes

Sometimes

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Sometimes,
words escape me
as I ponder
the many happenings
of the day or
those to come.

Sometimes,
I am quiet
as silent
as the setting sun.

Sometimes,
I fear I fail
to let you in
on every detail
that has passed
my way.

Sometimes,
I am timid,
shy and lonely
when I spend
time without you
in my day.

Although,
these are all true statements
you should always know
that you are in those
private thoughts and feelings
of mine-
a shining beacon, a star
to behold.

Yes and sometimes we spend an entire lifetime waiting and wondering, trying to keep love alive and new.
This is a lovely piece of work Beth, it has a serenity about it that cannot be missed by your reader. There are many stars to behold and so many are looking at hem with the same longing as you have.
Perople are so fragile when it comes to love...
Cheers and thank you for a beautiful read...

This is really nice. I don't quite like the fact that there is a sentence in a stanza. Breaking the sentence up like that kind of takes away from the poem. I love what it says.
Good Job.
