Between Me and You

Between Me and You

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Answer me

with words of

tranquility,

peace, kindness

should shine forth

as we travel

through this town

together-

enjoying one another's

company-

walking to the beat

of the Universe

in action

joining two unknowns

together for a time

to ripen up the mind

in conversations

run rampant

yet entertaining,

knowing, glowing

forth with intellect

and romance

as you quietly take

my hand

leading

ever so softly

to a resting place

where we may take

a break

enjoying the silence too-

between

me and you.

How your words make me long for the sweet depth of such friendships. Times of peace, kindness, richness... So beautiful...

ohhhhhh, my Muse asks "Will you Walk with me?" It is a question I long for every day. Your words remind me of the thrill of being found.
