Claims My Breath

Claims My Breath

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

That exquisite divet

that once was before me

that spot where collarbone,

crisp white shirt meet

That exquisite divet

I crave

I dream about

I rave about

in my mind

And the man

that has that sweet spot

that exquisite divet

which claims my breath.

This is a fantastic piece, Siddartha...very sensual and so very well-written. I love the structure and repetition of your key phrase. I love that women are so detail-oriented, and find such allure in unique spots that men might not think twice about...and each woman has her own area of interest. As Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was fond of saying, "God is in the details." Wow, this one came together so very well!

Ah, that "sweet spot" of longing and desire and fulfillment; an adroitly sensuous revelation. A sparsity of words creating an intimate, brief encounter. Men rarely are able or willing to take the time to respond in kind. More's the pity.

I love how this gives me such a feeling of soft comfort. Great job!

How unique. I don't think I've ever heard of a lady admiring/longing for a spot on a man's neck. No wonder mothers always tell their sons to wash theirs. I've always been attracted to the female neck and found it a most inviting place to plant a kiss, but little did I know. Now you tell me..I could have used this information forty years ago. Sam

A breathlessly lovely and very sensual piece. Short, but oh so sweet and telling, I like the presentation of the text...it is different and easy to read. Thank you...
Cheers,
Helen :-))

Hey Siddh, this was like refrain of a song.
Are we climbing a mountain, when we
produce words? I enjoyed it. hope all is well.
