The AccidentA Poem by Siddartha Beth PiercePale as the breeze sullen, sunken was her face as the creature jumped before her she let out a blood curdling scream in what was left of the night light sky in her rear wheel drive screeching to a halt she could still taste the salt upon his tongue as he traveled through her windshield kissed her face bid her good morning and farewell to them both the roadside kill attraction for all that passed beginning their days saying God's blessing of just cursing the traffic that may have made them late a nuisance to their days but one young girl and a furry companion that leapt forth in front of her car ended their lives that day.
