Nature Remains Supreme

Nature Remains Supreme

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Colors entwined

in rhythm, rhyme

Sublimely lit

upon the shore's

swirling eddies

within the glimpse

of the moon's

trance

set in dancing

swirls around

the beaver dam

so austerely built

with nature's intuition

to wit.

Colors entwined

in rhythm, rhyme

Sublimely lit

upon the pond's surface

a graceful meandering

of tepid water

swirls around

the logs where

lazy turtles sleep

within the sun's embrace

upon their spotted shells

my presence unknown

keeps them in their place

amongst the reeds and grasses.

Colors entwined

in rhythm, rhyme

Sublimely lit

upon the river's waves

set adrift

by my kayak's oars

slowly rowing downstream

as if within a dream

the glittering scene

so serene

as Nature remains

Supreme

within the color scheme.
