Where Your Gaze Met MineA Poem by Siddartha Beth PierceI had a dream I was surging about the sea you and me riding the waves of oblivian as the currents washed us in upon the shore the waves surrounded us in warmth under the sun's bright rays then in your gaze I saw the water reflected back in rainbows of longing as we embraced upon the floor of the seaside riding the waves of ecstasy as the wetness surrounded our very beings your gaze met mine once more and I swore I saw your soul within that tender stare so much was there- the flesh meant nothing next to that which I saw dance in your eyes the seaside subsiding leaving us to dry ourselves upon the sand the dream of us surging about the sea had changed to land beneath our bodies and yet again you looked at me with desire passion unmet nothing I had seen as of yet as your soul spun out in coniptions of turquoise, lapis lazuli malachite and jade illusions unto my gaze as the sun shone down upon us I lost my breath a perfect moment captured in time where your gaze met mine.
