To My Heart

To My Heart

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Today came and went

as all the others

yet you have not returned

my love

my yearning grows ever fuller

for those days of kind embrace

flesh to flesh

when my hand took yours

and showed you the path

to my heart.

flesh to flesh
the path to the heart
guided by yearning hand
so naughty,
and yet the day went by like "all the others"
without a return...sad
knock that person off the pedestal
here come the wolves!
And someone has left breadcrumbs for a path to follow...
I like it, but it sucks for you, lost lover.
Time to stoke the coals
with bolts of fresh
lightning!

This poem speaks eternally to the heart, stunning
the image is pure vibrance, the romantical aspect
sets the readers heart adrift, dreamy, and eloquent,
hallmark could have written it any better, thanks.

How very touching and sweet, almost innocently innocent and yet such yearning, such longing in such a short and beautiful poem...very excellent piece of writing!
