![]() The Land They Left MeA Poem by Siddartha Beth PierceUpon this farmland where I dwell has a helper who can not be quelled- he comes each and every day to mow the grass and plod the hay- although in age he is eighty three he seems more of a sage to me- as he stated briefly once, 'I take care of this place so that once I meet them at the heavenly gates my parents will be proud of me for taking care of the land that they left me.'
