'Write This Down, My Dear'

'Write This Down, My Dear'

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Her hands were intertwined

as she slept

as if in prayer he thought

which endeared her even more

to his aching heart.

He dared not wake her

but watched on as a connoisseur

to delight in the beauty

of the scene before him.

Later, when she awoke

he spoke of this

sealed it with a kiss

saying only, 'Write this down, my Dear.'

Heh, quite interesting and playful.
I really liked the hand theme in this one - I don't believe you can tell someone's future by looking at the lines on his palm, but you can learn a lot by just exploring their tenderness.
It's a very original idea, and you've managed to execute it greatly.
I really like the flow on this one - very calm and mellow, and very fitting to the scene you've portrayed.
Another great one.

I remember Bill Bryson saying: "Most people when they sleep look like they're in need of blanket... I look like I'm in need of urgent medical attention."

I can't honestly believe he looks that bad ^_^ everyone looks at their best asleep, they're not trying to impress you, not worrying about anything, just sleeping. You captured this elegantly. It's good. I'll go read some more.
