Likeness of My Son

Likeness of My Son

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

The colors spill off the canvas

in effervescent hues

set to play upon the scene set forth

by the mating with my muse

who settles back into my

subconscious mind

granting me the time

to invent again

a newly painted concoction

for your perusal

a soft and serene being

the likeness of my son.

What good is a muse without a little true color added.
The imagery of this was a kick start of entertainment as I read through this poem.

"Mating with my muse" loved this line

Your son was letting you know what he didn't like by doing his own version of editing.

The title was great!
