FriendsA Poem by Siddartha Beth PierceWhen the winds came I thought they might breath your name to me-
When the fires roared I thought your scent would have soared all around me-
When the water rose I thought you might be rubbing toes with me in the sand-
Yet all of these have come and gone and ye have yet to stand before me.
Although, I know my dear that you are near for I feel you everyday-
When I wake the warmth of the sun is your embrace-
When I sleep the moon slips on her grateful face smiling down upon us.
Whether together now or later then I do know that we shall always be sweet and loving friends.
