Infinity's Passing

Infinity's Passing

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Smokey cat tendrils

past my windowpane

outline the passage

of what I have been

in previous incarnations

sliced upon your life

within innumerous

undertakings

placed along the way

we cast and sway

to the fray

of infinity's passing.

Is the cat looking in wondering what it's like to be us? What do you hold in the palm of your hand in a moment's time? Sliced upon your life, now that's sexy? Ohhhhhh, infinity's passing, like a cat passing up the treats we lay before it. Sweet metaphor. Like the smug smile of someone who "knows", the cat walks by. He ate my canary!

Mesmerizing. Your piece echoes with wisdom and depth, creating a true sense of infinity rather than just the word. I like your mention of past lives and the experiences we collect as we pass through them. Beautiful write. :)
