Snowboots

Snowboots

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce
"

For Lotus Eaters #10

"

For sale,

snowboots,

slightly worn

from when she took them out into the field

and tried to stomp out the bonfire

her father had inadvertantly started with the

burning of the brush set aside

to make our new home.

Slightly smudged,

but comes with the advocacy

of the entire Marshall, Virginia

Fire Department

who found it quite entertaining.

This was interesting, I felt warm with this _American mini tale, and thought, how much I missed your poetry!

"her father had inadvertantly started with the

burning of the brush set aside

to make our new home."---------- a really good sweet small poem.

This exercise demands photos. Your story reminds me of the many stories that endorsed the foam cheeseheads Packer fans wear after a man went down in his single prop plane and lived because of the foam headgear.

oh, too cool, I think the best part is the blessing of the snow boots from the fire department. Stories like that are priceless. And you told it with so much gentle humor. (My dad always did stuff like that, too)
