I Count My Days

I Count My Days

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

I count my days

in the clippings of your hair

the smiles that you wear.

I count my days

in the light within your eyes

as they dance for the fair's prize.

I count my days

in the memories of you

at the tender age of two.

I count my days

with the passing of each kiss

from mother to son.

Inspiring and Touching. As simple as the words you use are, a mother's love is definitely the most beautiful. Wonderfully penned.

Further proof that the most can be conveyed using the simplest and fewest of words. That style gets me every time. Beautifully done, and thank you.

There is nothing like a mothers love. I really loved the way this piece made me feel. I kind of want to call my mother now and hear her voice. Thank you for giving me something to feel from your words.
