Sanity Pleas

Erudite lessons

one says

few, far between

that which passes

daily

upon this rural scene.

 

Yet, I seek them

with the fervor

of a wolf in midst

of hunt for prey

for the young ones

she must feed.

 

Wanting to hear

some words

read passages

of splendor

set alight

with the soul

of a Sphinx

riddled

rhymed

rammed

or not

but true to he

who gave it breath

set it free

for all to see

in its magestical

splendor of longing

sanity pleas.

I really like this poem. The verses have a sort of medieval tone with its character seeking the

quicker flow of spasmodic learning in his everyday life.
