Strawberry DelightsA Poem by Siddartha Beth PierceSweet juices run down the throat upon the lips summer's fruitful bliss a bounty gathered in crops spread wide on either side of the bed.
The highway where we pick our fill in green plastic boxes bursting forth as each delicious berry too- explodes with crimson tones.
Our plans to can them drop them in our ice cream a true summer's dream and place them in our morning cereal- a day's toil in the fields has granted us a hefty yield of delicious raw strawberry delights that we delight upon each evening and each morn.
