Nature's PassingA Poem by Siddartha Beth PierceCrystalline sunshine prisms drop rainbows upon the windowpanes through the raindrops this early morning as Papa Sun fights the evening's clouds away greets the day with a warming touch like a Mother's embrace before bedtime and each morn.
The birds begin to sing awaking, venturing out from the shade of the oaks and maples about the house greeting the day singing their songs of joy for the passing of the rain happy to see the worms wriggling on the ground brought up by the storm's late night grasp- as it is gone now, a feast for the young ones still in the nest these last Spring days.
The barn swallows acrobat in the sky while the bats nestle into the barn for the day to rest awaiting the moonrise later this eve when they fly about drenched in Luna's light to feast upon the flies-a day and night's passing here upon the farm.
