Fit Me Like a Glove V

Fit Me Like a Glove V

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Fit Me Like a Glove V

Apart from you
I long to be
near again,
your smile, laugh,
twinkling eyes
that surmise
my gleeful return to you
as soon as able...
to gather strength enough
to earn that gorgeous
Being you bestow upon me.

I long for you
Each night and every morn.

Apart from you
I can not see why
You are not within
My tender embrace.

Yet, it seems
the duties of parenthood
Call forth-
This, a part of our lives
I truly adore,
although I often long
to be with you
behind closed doors.

Come to me my love,
Fit me like a glove.
