Dary's Poem

Dary's Poem

A Poem by Sianna Reader
"

For my twin, Dary...

"

If you were a flower,

Then I’d be one too,

So we could converse

And laugh as we do.

For flowers can’t talk

and I must know your voice,

so a flower would be,

my most intimate choice.

If you were a star,

To the skies I would go,

I’d pass comet and cloud,

And all heaven would know.

For what use is the ground?

If you’re made like a star,

For my home in this world,

Is wherever you are.

If you were a tree,

Then a bird, I’d become,

To engage you with song,

When you have no one.

Come season, come season,

Come rain and come snow,

I never would leave you,

I thought you should know.

So sister, dear sister,

Please keep these words dear,

I’ll always be close,

You’ve got nothing to fear.

Put your hand to your chest,

I’ve been there from the start,

Forever, eternal,

My home is your heart.
