The SoliloquyA Poem by Sianna ReaderI'm still waiting for him...
The Soliloquy I shall not dream tonight as hope intends, but merely dwell under star’s that shine, Oh ‘neath the quilted sky that bends, I think of him who once was mine. Oh crying moon in all your pain, My ancient friend of times gone by, You know of loss, you know of gain You know the tears that I cry. The hunter croon’s within the trees, His figure standing proud and tall, His aching lingers on the breeze, For the mate he lost last fall. The boy with eyes so sharp and green, Shall forever stay within my heart, Because of him I cannot dream, Because we have been torn apart. The silver lights that twinkle bright, know why I sit and wait for him, my intricate tears of the night, see my faith is turning thin. I wait in rest and pray in vain, For he who once was in my claim, And the heavens watch me from above wait for the boy I know I love. © 2009 Sianna ReaderAuthor's Note
