The Teardrops Of The WorldA Poem by Sianna ReaderThe different meanings of tears...
A tear is for everyone, an untainted little drop,
A whimper is for every child, whose pain will never stop,
A tear is for everyone, filled with salt and cold,
A mumble of someone elderly, who’s infinitely old,
A tear is for everyone, so gentle and so mild,
A wailing cry for a mother, who has lost a child,
A tear is for everyone, for all who are apart,
A snivel, for a poorly man, whose love has left his heart,
And yes there’s tears of love, so bright and full of joy,
A chaste soft kiss of worship, between a girl and boy,
And yes there’s tears of sweetness, a love that never goes,
Between a mother and her child, that unconditionally grows,
And yes there’s tears for the shy, so soft and always there,
For the tired, lonely pensioner, who feels when someone cares,
And as I sit and dwell, my tears warm and tame,
I think of all the sadness and who is left to blame,
But then my mind will wander, and I’ll sit and think a while,
For there is goodness in the world, that can surely make me smile
