The Bringers

The Bringers

A Poem by Sianna Reader
"

I don't think I can stomach it.

"
Voilà, I bet their proud,
The bringers of animosity!
Anger sits within this house
and it has plagued me.

Deep down, I cannot breathe,
I cannot weave my writer’s tale,
All atmosphere has broken me,
Broken me! Broken me down!

Come back joy -
Where have you gone?
Don’t disperse for good,
I still need you with me.

This
house
is
but
a
shattered
ruin
of
iciness.

I can taste the dark, rich air,
It is bitter and distasteful,
I want clarity, solitary,
Something to comfort me.

Darkness wants me,
I have already submitted,
Oh yes, their proud,
The bringers of animosity!
