Little SaviourA Poem by Sianna ReaderFor my puppy, Elphaba (aka, Elphie, Elf) xxx
Sweet little saviour, you’ve answered my call,
You pull me back up when I stumble and fall,
I needed some guidance; you’ve given me hope,
You’ve eased up this aching and now I can cope
Oh little darling, you’ve softened the blow,
I cherish your love, that bark that I know,
The way that your tail, waggles with glee,
And how you have eyes for no one but me
I simply adore, how you pine when I’m gone,
And you wait, so impatient, no matter how long,
How you live like my shadow and lie at my feet,
And that look that you give me, is so darn well sweet
My little puppy, you may not be my Fleur,
And things may not seem, as they once were,
But you have your spirit; your own little self
Sometimes I don’t show it, but I love you Elf!
