Goodbyes

Goodbyes

A Poem by Sian Jo Fitzpatrick
"

I never learn.

"

Day turns to night,
the stars shine bright.

Our faces turn,
to watch the fire burn.

People around us dance,
as you ask me for a second chance.

I should be concerned,
but I've never learned.

I say no,
but you don't go.

I shut my eyes,
hating goodbyes.

liked the way how amazingly you come to lick yourself in such deepen words. the virtue of love, & the realism of world... both're well refracted off the edge of your verse. rhythmic patter is way catchy as well which i find more intriguing in this poetry. very deep, heartfelt, & dramatically so eye-catching work it is.

rating:
100/100
(95% for poetry + 5% for the rhythm)

looking forward to reading your work for sure!

Gee
I never use goodbye, always seems like a permanent parting. I choose to use, see ya or cheerio. I once tried to pull a bird ( how very un pc) in a pub, having messed her about previously, only to be slaughtered by her, much to the amusement of all in range of her rantings. " A male w***e, slag, drunk, womaniser, waster" Jeez she went to town on me.However we did at a later date play hide the sausage, but, it was on her terms (or so she thought) Again enjoyed the read
