Reshaping the philosophy of love... Hope you enjoy!

TO WHAT DEPTH MUST WE SINK

True care binds two souls
Into a bond of infinite love
But did we ever think
To what depth must we sink?

We often give care too much
More than what we receive
Sometimes we hold so tight
That it slips from our arms
Even if we fight!

Love is like a well,
Fall till you have the rope
To pull yourself up back
But people often mistake this
As an endless stream of joy
With no sorrow and pain
To be felt or survived!

Romeo and juliet died for love
And many by the same error
Are lost in the same flood
But we never ever think
To what depth must we sink!

Love must be a two way street, give and take... it seems in your case that the balance is off...to what extent do we tolerate this imbalance? I believe this is very individual.. and depends on how much pain one or the other is suffering.... "we often care too much".... once you see it, step back and evaluate...
Nicely written!
Warmly, B
