Death Note #5

Death Note #5

Dear... Anyone
I don't know if you can hear me,
Or if you even care,
But over the sound of shattering glass,
And broken hearts,
I need someone to listen.

I don't know if you can see,
That I am alone,
With my eyes dark and hands shaking,
My room feels like it is swallowing me,
My door is locked,
And barricaded.

I don't know if you can smell,
The metallic tang,
Of blood pouring out of me,
That no bandage or ointment,
Can stop,
The self harm I have done to myself.

Dear Anyone,
I don't know if you can feel,
The pain ripping through my chest,
That comes from deep within,
When I say I am fine,
And that the med are working.

Dear friend,
This is not a cry for saving,
This is my death note,
So when I let out my last cry,
When I finally die,
You can still say goodbye.
