My Betrayal

My Betrayal

A Poem by Sia Blood
"

This actually happened to me and I don't know how to express it

"

I had a secret,

I couldn’t keep it to myself,

So I told someone,

I thought I could trust her,

After all best friends,

Are supposed to keep secrets.

But she ruined it,

She told her boyfriend,

She proved she loved him more,

She ruined my trust,

She ruined my life,

She ruined me.

I sat up at night,

Crying and taking away the pain,

The only way I knew how,

Drawing on myself with a sharp paintbrush,

She found out,

She called me stupid.

She said I was,

Throwing myself a pity party,

She told me I lied to her,

She told me I broke her,

She told me I killed her,

She killed me.

We talk but,

There is that tiny,

Fleck of brokenness,

I know nothing will be the same,

She lied,

She broke her promise.

Now I sit,

Scarred and broken,

Wanting to be friends,

But knowing i cannot trust,

Even the best of friends,

Betray each other...

I think you expressed IT very well. We learn early-on, Trust isn't just given, it's earned.

I am a very shy, quiet, reserved girl. I won't talk to you unless I ABSOLUTELY have to. It's noting against you... I just don't like people :) more..
