Death of You

Death of You

A Poem by Sia Blood
"

Just something I was doing for English class.

"

Waking in the mid’ of night on the floor,

How long have I been lying close to death?

The darkest depths of my brain are no more

My dear, I am afraid I have no breath.

My deadly screams keeping a silent tomb,

Behind a closed door the blood comes rushing,

Weaving bracelets with my skeleton loom,

The heavy weight of the world comes crushing.

What happened long ago when life would flow,

O’ so abundantly with happiness?

The days that I got hit with loving blows,

Of laughter, before the painful sadness.

The happy days and you have become blue,

All your painful days are now past and through.

This is really good. I especially like the line, "Weaving bracelets with my skeleton loom"
