A Chapter by Shy Joe

Today is not tomorrow, and it's definitely not yesterday.
Today is a low rumbling thunder at 9 p.m.  It's light rain tapping your window, sliding down your view. Lyricless music whispering your day.
It's piano music of your past, now, and light year away.  A symphony pulling everything tight, struck and plucked while your emotions rub bow upon memories, thoughts, and regret.
It's lighting striking light, racing across keys.  A flirts heart racing hand to cheek. An eye to eye stare. Piano's duet shared smile. Written score sheets being recomposed, weathered, and lyric'd.
Because today is not tomorrow, and it's definitely not yesterday.

and yesterday's symphony....wordless, timeless...
soothing the regrets we might alleviate by tomorrow.
