For the sake of comedy

Comedy is a state of mind.  To find something that others find humorous and generally relatable to the mean of your audience is not talent, and it can't be taught.  It's a whole state of consciences.  A perception of what makes people laugh. 

And it takes an inverse effect to grasp that.  It takes pain.  A hurt so deep inside it kills you to move.  Something you dread so much that when it's gone for a short time, you value the things that make you laugh.  Your craving for it is so strong that you make an art form of it. 

It's an addiction.  An unstoppable hunger.  Now you understand why comedy is pain.
