Frost Bite

Frost Bite

A Chapter by Shy Joe

Beautiful it is, these mountain tops
So white and clean
No bugs, no violence, no visible enemies

Just me

So close to heaven I am
Up so far the ground is above the clouds
Wondering if my friend is happy again

But it's just me

Motionless he lays
Tethered to me
The last of the air he gave

Now, it's just me

I can't feel, the pain is gone
Ill prepared we were
The voices consume me now

My thoughts, just me

I see a form through the snow
Get up I can't, my feet wont move
It's my dead friend lending me his hand

I leave
