Bright Lights, Dark Thoughts

Bright Lights, Dark Thoughts

A Poem by ShyGuyShares
"

This is an Ekphrastic Poetry on the painting entitled, Walk in the Rain. This painting was done by John Bramblitt. Check out his amazing work.

"

The party lights tried its best to guide the man

He walked on, accompanied by no one,

But the sound of raindrops hitting the pavement,

And his own words running around his head.

The man thought long and hard about taking this path.

He walked on, thinking, "no one would know anyway."

Under the protection of his umbrella, he took his time.

He waited gently for a subject, and when it came, he decided.

With the bright lights behind him, he wasn't turning back.

He walked on, and the dark road ahead smiled at him.

About
As the name suggests, I'm a shy guy. I prefer to have my identity kept anonymous and I'd like to keep it that way (at least for now). I don't want people to know who I am, all I want them to know is t.. more..
