The Casualty of Soulmates

The Casualty of Soulmates

A Poem by ShyGuyShares

She said he was just a friend,

and they only met that one time.

But he knew I liked her.

He said he was just a friend,

and they continued to meet, time after time.

But he said he didn't like her.

I said he was just a friend,

and last I saw her, they held hands for the first time.

But he knew I loved her.

She said I was just a friend of hers,

and nothing could happen between us.

But it looked otherwise; I thought she liked me.

He said I was just a friend of hers,

and hoped that there was no bad blood between us.

But I felt otherwise; he stole her and I knew she liked me.

I guess now I'm just a friend of hers,

and I honestly still want that spark between us.

But she felt otherwise; she loved him and said I do

and that broke me.

About
As the name suggests, I'm a shy guy. I prefer to have my identity kept anonymous and I'd like to keep it that way (at least for now). I don't want people to know who I am, all I want them to know is t.. more..
