![]() The Fallen HouseA Poem by Shubham
Those were good times,
And everything was right. Until one tragic night, The fate showed it's might. 'The heaven' as it was known as, Crumbled upon the ground. It was impossible to witness, As it made an alarming sound. The ones dreaming inside, Could no longer dream. Oh Boy! They were unfortunate, As they couldn't even scream. The ones on the outside, Were absolutely astonished. Any expression which they had, Just absolutely vanished. Then came a brave man, Who was depressed and sad. But still he tried to face it, With all the courage he had. With moistened eyes and a heavy heart, He began his daring quest. For he knew that all his strength, Will surely be put to test. Every part of the debris, Was lifted one by one. But all his efforts went in vain, As he could find no one. But suddenly out of nowhere, He saw a tragic scene. A body lied in front of him, He thought, "That's so mean!". Disheartened and disgusted, He couldn't believe his fate. In his quest for survival, He was just slightly late. He decided to go to someone, Whose locks were all gray. He thought that he will surely, Have something to say. He asked the old wise man, "What was their fault ?, Why did they have to face, God's terrible assault ?". The old wise man had no trouble, In giving back a reply. As he knew that fate's something, Which nobody can defy. In a soft tone he replied, " Son, that's how life works. It is the fate's favorite habit, To give these sudden jerks" The brave man understood, That all's decided UP THERE. So we have to accept it, Even if it looks unfair. A thousand days it took to build, One by one with bricks. In one night though all was lost, When fate showed it's tricks. So I think that all of us, Are as powerless as a mouse. Especially when you recollect, All about 'The fallen house'. © 2015 Shubham |
