Lost in Fiction's EmbraceA Poem by Shreya DixitI've always been a sucker for a good love story, especially the ones in books. This poem captures that feeling of wanting to escape into a world where love is perfect...
Haven't seen your blurred face,
Haven't ever been to that serene place, Where we first met that night, Where we lived the best moments of our life. You held my hand in yours, Almost froze me when you came a little closer. I would never forget what you whispered, Some promises, your love, and our own secret world. Albeit for a girl, it's not that breezy, To break from dreams and face reality. Though embarrassing, it was all my fantasy, Falling for someone without even an identity. I wish there was a door to my fictional world, Where I could escape this dull reality to be yours. It literally hurts, my dear, that we can't even meet in person, And here I regret why real men can't be like fictional one. © 2024 Shreya DixitAuthor's Note
