Silent Prayers

Allow yourself the time

To listen to the silences in the world.

Allow the memories

Of sound to reminisce in you.

 

Exalt in the suffering you feel

And bring whatever light you can

Into the present moment.

 

It is not faith that will heal you

But being one with your

Aloneness and brokenness.

 

The existence of love itself

Calls on us to surrender to it.

To celebrate that we have lived

and suffered pain at all.

 

So light a candle for me tonight,

And say a silent prayer for everyone

You have ever loved and for

Everyone who has ever loved you.

I often light a candle or candles for someone or someones. It is or they are the kindness of light, a gentle request for that little extra for a sad heart or hearts that for the now, need a little more comfort and strength.

Your words are indeed, a gift.
