Oyster Pearls

Oyster Pearls

A Poem by John F

Tonight
We will slip through
moonlight streams
To be together.

Where there is
No time nor distance
To submit our bodies
To sweet decay.

No turbulence beneath
The offbeat waves
of our astral longing
To disturb our happiness.

Nor a world outside
Waiting to disturb
Our unique rhythms
With eternal sadness.

Here everything
Falls weightlessly
towards our hearts,
Levered open like conjoined oyster shells.

And we are as one again,
Siamese pearls secreting together
Under the sound of silence
The stars have preserved
Through the day for us.

Woah. You are definitely gifted, but I won't spoil you much. A hopeful love that rises more beautiful from its ashes. I love your words. You know how to create a scene.

No please spoil me, Beren! Such compliments from talent herself :)
A very romantic write, John.
If there is a fellow oyster pearl, then she should be happy with these devoted words of beauty.
Anything that takes one away from intrusion and sweet decay is a place to be cherished.
Extremely affectionate piece of poetry.
