In this dance of death
I see you falling with the stars Into another depression. Wild horses collapsing In your teary eyes. Falling sparrows colliding Against your restless heart. Life should not be a narrow path Others choose for you. I long to watch you sunbathe again In the planet’s naked glow, Unaware of what time the tide Will turn back to thump you again, Not moving in an erratic line towards it. I wish I could tell you that we’ll build A magic cave out of memories, So we can hide you from it. But we have no memories That would do the trick.
