![]() Impossible WorldsA Poem by John Fitzgerald
I will hold this empty space
for you in my heart. I will keep this impossible world contained, Until my mind becomes attuned to reality Without you. Maybe there’s a platonic ordering to the world That dwells in a realm of forms, So that my internal mechanisms can run Like there’s no ghost in the machine. I will rely on a contingent series Of cause and effect, Until everything goes quiet and the laws of love finally fail. © 2025 John Fitzgerald |
