I Will

I Will

A Poem by I Shred This Cabbage
"

R.

"
I will open my life up to sorrow
And it will cleanse me of you.

You were there
And then you weren’t -

That’s the short version.

I can’t face the excruciating details
Of the long version.

Of what truly happened.

I don’t truly know what happened.

But I miss you,
And I don’t want to be cleansed of you.

Not really. Not ever. Not now.

What a touching poem, I felt the emotions hanging from it as though I am now going through my break up from years ago.. Nicely penned. I hope you are taking care of you.

I like this. It's pensive, sad and reflective. But we can't ever change another, we can only change ourselves. So I try to make the effort every day to be a little bit better me than the day before. I'll never be perfect but I just want to be the best me I can be...for me. But I promise you this, others take notice and if not the old friends, then at least the new ones. I enjoyed the read. F.

That's not a healthy conclusion.

You should smoke some grass and listen to a song called "lonesome" by Unwritten Law... it's good music man. There is always really good music out there, never surrender my friend.
