ALIFEROUS (The becoming of the villain)

ALIFEROUS (The becoming of the villain)

A Poem by Shraddha
"

This is the first poem in a series of five. They combine to tell a story. Aliferous is a declaration they are unbreakable, they’re hurt and broken but still strong enough to soar.

"

You can clip my wings before I learn to fly

You can leave me there thinking I will cry

You can walk away thinking I am in despair

But I have a secret with you I’d love to share

Little do you know I can claw my way up to the sky

But sure go ahead, break me, I’d love to see you try

You kept on trying very hard, I love how much you care

Funny how when hurting me you need to come up for air

My breathing may be shallow, my words barely a whisper

If you listen close enough it’s everything you need to know

My wings may be buried far, my scars a little too deep

But if you watch close enough, in your fire I glow
