What is this really for

It's a weird concept, We light branches on fire to sit around with our chairs and "make memories". We let the stars light up the sky while we sit quietly in the woods. Nothing could ever compare to those moments sitting there in the silence with the heat of the fire pressing its light touch against your face. And you can't help but wonder how many people are as happy as you at that exact moment. It's like a happy ending out of a story book. Except this is real and it happens everyday. There is no magic. None except the magic of the moment. And the air is still. For the first time in a while, the stiff air doesn't bother me or make me feel claustrophobic. I feel calm and at peace with my inner self.
We light branches on fire to prove a point to the world. The memories are just going to stick with us forever. The world is infinite. And this is it. Nothing could be better and I know that.

Wow. This makes me feel extremely nostalgic haha. It's true, it is sort of weird. We do things like this all the time though. What's the point of lighting branches on fire and sitting around it? What's the point of getting together and eating when you can eat faster alone? What's the point of walking with someone when you can walk better at your own pace alone? We do a lot of things, many weird things, just to make memories and be with people. And yes, it is rather odd. But also, not something we usually regret. Nothing could be better when the world is feeling infinite and we're with those we love.
