"That girl"

"That girl"

A Poem by But?shouldyouneedus?

I always wondered what it felt like to be "that girl" . I never knew the feeling until I got older . Teen to be specific . Remember when you were younger and you always saw th people depressed and never thought you had to deal with it ? Now I know what it's like to be in that position . It's no fun , never has been never will be .

an interesting write without a shadow of a doubt.. I wonder if things have since changed.. I also hope my visit will kick start a few others to ask the same question... Neville

I figured I would start with your earliest work!
This is very simple, a good idea, just a little fragment. But I do empathize with it. I think most people can. As a child I would look to my "future" I would see the adults or the older teens and imagine what it was like to be them. I would be quick to judge and think; I'll never be like that, or I'll definitely be like this. But when the time comes, it's surprising to find out just who your really are.
But it isn't fun, being that girl, being depressed-- I think it's glamorized a bit too much sometimes. Even romanized. But it is not fun. It never has been and it never will be.

I have wondered too from a male perspective...
