A Good Way To Destroy Your Faith

A Good Way To Destroy Your Faith

A Poem by R. Gene MacDonald
"

A poem about the ever-increasing negative energy of the world.

"

There are Roads that

lead to places unsung,

where a silent

                    teardrop

is the loudest noise of all.

And there are particles of

Air that float so

                     High,

the only angels that can

breathe them are the

fortunate few that have

learned to fly with no

threat of

fallling,

But there, too,

are those places soaked

with blood, riddled with

endless doorways, that

close callously in your

face,

and loaded with dangers

you can't begin to see.

A good way to destroy your faith...

Take a walk amongst the crowds.

Steal a glare from

a stranger.

See all the selfishness consume,

see the hate in our DNA.

Take it all

in,

This darkened day,

that wreeks with caffeine stains that

has

Leaked from our skin.

This utter world of hurry

with no place to go.

Take it all in.

A good way to destroy your faith...

Take

a walk

beside your neighbors,

and take it all in.

I definitely agree with the theme of your writing.Expressed clearly in poetic prose but neverthe less retain some shreds of hope for humanity We are capable of incredible selfishness and a the same selfless altruism
